im in the market for a new sub (again) and i am looking for a good sub for the money.

im a sealed box, sq man, but im willing to try ported or vented

i will be pushing the type s which is 200 watt rms with a mono 250 watt amp @ 2ohm

im on 2 10's right now too deep and too loud, plus it seems to not play some bass tones.

so do u think i will like the type s

 

Try it, there cheap subs anyway. If you don't like them sell them you won't lose that much.

i have a friend who has the 12's of the type S. they are good for a cheep sub they have good sound just not as loud as i perfer.thats just because he dosent have a good amp. i think that if u got them you would be happy with them. when i get my new car im gunna buy MOMO/polk subs but thats just me. do what u want too. good luck

 

Check out the infinity 12" reference. Better specs, and cheaper I've heard both infinity is way way way better. SQ small sealed box I'm runing about 200 watts to it and it loses its sq at about 400

 

just save some money and get a set of type r subs if you want to stick with alpine

 

type s's are alright, they're not great but they're worth the money, type r's are very nice
