Default L3 curse?

I just blew my Si tranny that I got almost a month ago... When I got the car, the DX tranny was blown with the same stuff going on as this one. It has the D15B7 in it, and everything bolts up correctly. I had plenty of fluid in it (I checked it before I left for a 2 hour drive to the track....).

I was doing a burnout.... I didn't even think I could do one, but dumped the clutch, pulled the E brake, got them smoking. Then when it was pulling forwards I let the brake down and pushed in the clutch and let out on the gas and all that. Then all the sudden the car just lunges forwards and dies with a loud pop. Everyone thought I blew the engine.

I figured that I'm not running too much power throught it, and not near enough torque to blow two trannies. I did get one time done though, but its only a 1000 ft track. I got it in 14 flat. Everyone I've talked to with this swap or one just like it hasn't had any problems.... Its a good thing that my friend was willing to tow me back home for 2 hours through the Ozark mountains... cheers.

Oh yeah, the deal with the tranny is that when you have it in gear, and let out on the clutch, its like its locked up and doesn't do anything except bog the engine. But when its in nuetral and you let out on the clutch, the car moves forwards. I didn't drive it around with it in nuetral, but whatever. I can't ever get it in gear anymore.

I feel your pain about blowin trannies. I'm about to put my 5th tranny in my CRX.

I've never had one act like yours though.
