My buddy was racing a street bike in his turbo GSR integra...he was in 5th and wanted some extra power so he downshifted...and then the unthinkable, you 2nd not forth....the check engine light flash alittle but the car still drove okay....until we got to a red like the idle a rough, so rough the car shakes a little and there is a little tic to it now too...what could it be and how do we tell?
check the timing belt, at um 13k+ or whatever u were at, u coulda slipped a few teeth.
Do a compression test, that will tell you a little more.

That sucks. That's likely to have fucked up something good. Definately do a compression and leakdown test.
list the numbers and where the hissing (if any) is coming from.
Leakdown.......
You need 95% or better. Get a 80-85% and you've slightly hurt that cylinder. Get a 40-50% and its scrap.
Compression.......
I think on a B18C1 you're looking for 270 psi, within 5-10 psi spread.
Under 135 psi, scrap.

alrighty, here are the results....
210
152
210
210
i guess its pretty apparent that we have a problem.
the noise is that ticking noise that people always refer to as a lifter.
is it possible that the valves in that cylinder need to be adjusted or they are just bent?

Well if you have the results did you diy? Or did you have a shop do it? Yes if you have a tester you can do it yourself.
Oh and he may fried his rings as well.

Nope.
Do a search for "leakdown test" and you'll find some posts on how to perform one.

You asked and I replied. Sounds like bent valves to me. The rough idle kinda gives that away.

a comp. test tells u the psi in the cyl. .Aleakdown tells u how much percent of the compressed air u put into the cyl. leaks, either past the rings ,u will hear thru the breather ,past the int valve will hear it from the manifold, or the exh. valve from the headers.
