as i drive down the road i can here this hummming..it sounds like road noise. the faster i go the louder it gets ...rpm`s don`t seem to make any diff and i changed the tire and it still does it...anyone have any idea what the hell this noise is????

 

check your wheel bearings

 

if your car is lowered with not camber kit.. it will make that noise. its air being passed in the thread of the tires just like the old fashion sirens

 

my car is making nasty thumping/throbbing noises when i'm on the road too. any tips on how to check the wheel bearings?i've heard people say that my wheel bearings were probably the problem and needed to be oiled

 

jack the car up inthe front
and if you can shake the wheels as if your was forcing it to make a right or left by holding it by the wheel .. its going bad..it shouldnt have any play at all.. cant be regreased need to replace it and they will have to press it in and will pack it with grease at the same time

wheel bearings are new. just changed like a month ago but when i had the tires put on the guy`s at the tire store said it was lowered..i said ya...ok whatever...if the car has been lowered it would only be and inch at the most looks stock to me ..but you tell me..how can i put a pic of the car on here so you can see
