gsr head will give you more compression that a b16 head.

Id say go CTR pistons with a double layer head gasket....but if thats a little wild for your liking, then go with some P30 pistons with a double layer head gasket. That'll be a little more conservative without getting all wimpy in the compression department.

im not sure, but i think ctr pistons in a gsr block with b16 head is around 12.1:1 cr. my buddy has that exact setup in his civic si, and the thing just rips untuned. my other friend does a 14.60 in his civic, and the guy with the ctr's just pulled on him like crazy.

so get higher octane gas......then mix em.....you should be able to go up to around 12:1 on 91 with the timing at stock, maybe retarded a degree or two....

**** CTR pistons!

Its going to be a short lived Engine that will Be A nightmare!

Just go with ITR pistons, Your not building a race engine and the differnce Between CTRs and ITRs is very little!

If this difference was so little, than why the hell would it matter fool?

if you want an engine to live long all u got to do is not drive it like a complete tool.

Ok Fool, Im not going to argue with You being you speak like you Know Very little!

But think of this, By the time you retard timing for CTR's, You are not making alot more power the If you used JDM-USDM itr pistons

You Will make more with CTR's But In the end, Its not worth it IMO!

(damn 1'st gen b16 distributers )I have the skunk stage 2's The car is some what tuned w/ a vafc and eriks racing pr3 ecu but im still running very rich because im running large injectors (rc 320's ) because its going on the bottle. Go ahead let the flaming begin lol

dude.

im talkin about daily driving, retard the timing while on 91 gas, go to the track, dump in race gas, problem solved.

Power is what its all about IMO....but then again I dont know what Im talking about...
