Default Clutch question

Ive been driving my R for about 2000 miles now and I have always noticed something different about my clutch when compared to other cars. When I step into it, maybe the first inch or so has less kick back than the pressue felt after that. So if I gently rest my foot on the clutch, it will will depress for about an inch and then it stops because after that more pressure is needed. Is this normal? On other clutches I can feel the kickback instantly. Is this how all R's are?

just like m00gen said, don't worry about it.
the "soft" part is just the free play of the clutch
