Default Tire dressing... or cleaner... or whatever they are... =)

Last time I used it (forgot what kind... think it was a sample) it turned out great but I think a week later the tires turned that ugly light brown color. I read some where that it's just the protective stuff that turns it that color but either way, it's still pretty damn ugly. My question - What type of tire dressing/cleaner/shiner do you guys use? Are there any out there that won't turn your tires into that ugly brown color or is that how it just is with all of them? Thanks!

I think i have the same stuff.

never just spray it on tho'

what i do is get a old carwash type sponge, cut it in half and use it to apply the dresser(keep one side clean for your hand). dry the tires before applying or it will fly all over your fender(white car...), let it to "dry" or "settle" before take it out for spin. a bottle of those last me about a year, i have two cars to take care off and wash every two weeks

Wesley's Bleech-White will get the tires clean (remove all the dirt and the outer layer of dead rubber). Use a tire brush for that, and do it before washing the rest of the car.

When done with the car, I use Meguiar's Endurance tire gel. I apply it w/ an Eagle1 tire swipe foam applicator. It doesn't need to be wiped off, it doesn't fly up on fenders, and it will last 2-3 weeks.

i never use that ****, I think it s bad fro your tires. I had an old set of toyo fzr's that cracked all the way around and it only started to happen after the tire shine use. Plus it sprays all over your car. ........**** it put it in dry bro...........lol

Aerospace 303 or Lexol Vinylex are both great choices.

They are not silicone based, so they won't brown your tires or crack them, and they have UV protection properities so they protect them from UV, water, ozone, etc

Thanks, I'll probably pick one of those up. Do they carry those at most auto stores (like schucks), or are they something you have to order.

I've used both the Bleech White and also both Meguiar's Endurance and Eagle1 Wet tire shine on my last four sets of tires (current included) and never had any cracking problems. Also, the Meguiar's will NOT spin off onto the sides of the car, but the Eagle1 probably will.
