Default Tire shine removal + availability

What does everyone use to remove tire shine? Mine has enough layers on it that the tires are starting to turn brown. I tried scrubbing them with the brush at the car wash, and that didn't work hardly at all.

Also, I use the Black Magic Matte tire dressing, and cannot seem to find it in stores anymore. Anyone know where I can get more? I'm almost out, and and don't like using regular tire shine.

Anyone know of a tire shine that is not silicone based, that isn't particularly shiny? Not a fan of shiny tires.

Try an All Wheel & Tire Cleaner like the new one by Mothers or the Eagle 1 -- I've used both and both work great on tires. Or Westley's Bleche-Wite is an old reliable.

I like Optimum tire shine. works great, leaves the tire looking nice. also says that it can be used for anything vinyl inside and out inclusing dash. never tried that though

You don't have to use anything special, I always remove tire shine every time I wash the car and apply new coats of it once the car is dried off. I just spray on the wheels/tires with simple green and brush off the tires with a plastic carpet brush, I use a finer brush on the actual wheel itself. It only takes 5-10 minutes to do all 4 tires too.
