oil problems
today was the first time i took my car out in a few months, for some reason my oil light came on ok so i pulled into pepboys dumped 5 quarts into the motor went on back towards my house when i looked in my rearview i saw grey smoke like a bitch so i shut the motor off and coasted down the road but whats funny i put another quart into it let it sit at idle and no drips, what do you all think?
Check the oil dipstick, make sure you didn't overfill the oil.
If you left the car sitting for a few months, you may want to do a full oil drain and fill. Do a proper change, and then monitor the oil levels. Watch for leaks. If the level goes down progressively and you can't spot leaks, then you may be burning oil.

I agree. Unless it was bone dry, then you probably overfilled it from the start with 5 quarts. I don't know what year your Accord is, but according to my 5th gen manual the F22B1 (VTEC) takes 4.5 quarts and the F22B2 (non-VTEC) takes 4 quarts.
Maybe your balancer shaft seal popped out and it's pumping it all out. Who knows...just keep an eye on the level and make sure it stays where it should. A compression test should at least be able to give you an idea if you're burning alot of oil or not.
BTW, my mom had the oil light come on on her '94 Accord EX a couple years ago. Turned out to be the oil pump itself crapped out

my engine is f22a6,i had this problem before it was an o-ring that was behind my oil filter,it worked for a while but then i let it sit for a few months so ill try all this before i take it to the shop
i recommend you drain the oil first because you have too much. From my guess... you probably have about 9 qts of oil in there (5 from pepboys, 1 at the end, and ~3 remaining inside).
so u think i am just burning oil because there is too much, draning it tomorrow,to see whats up with it im willing to try anything before i take it to my mechanic, crazy asian charges out the ***,i wanna get this **** fixed so i can put in my f22b head
