jdm front end question?
if i got just the bumper, head lights and hood. could i use my stock fenders and bumper valance?????? ( i think thats what its called the little piece between the hood and the bumper)
you need the SiR filler part (between the lights and bumper) stck fenders will work but they might not meet up perfect. If you dont tell they wont notice
check out nitekids.com for pics with JDM bumper only.

No you do not need the JDM "radiator support" piece.
I have a JDm front end on my CRX. I used the US radiator support and it fitted just fine. I helped a friend recently install his JDm front end. He had the JDm radiator support and I had to modify it exactly the same as I had to modify the US one. So if you can't get the Jdm radiator support, KNOW FOR A fACT that the US one will work exactly the same.

on my car i tested the hood and the latch was about an inch or so forward from the hole. when i got the JDM rad suport it fit perfect.
Sorry, I don't buy it.
I just did the JDM front end thing. Using ALL the JDM parts, and still the hood did not close AND latched like the stock one.
The difference is not in the radiator support, but on the chassy it self.

try to get a radiator support off of a ef1 chassis from the importer where you get the front end from. it is the one without the grill. These fit perfectly on US cars for the Si-r conversion. Ef1's or style S-II have a sohc , with Si-r look. No modifying of the hood latch at all.

No, sorry.
the JDM bumper does not fit just fine with the US hedlights and hood.
You cannot mix and match hood lights and bumper.
they are either all JDM or all USDM.
the fenders are optional, the US ones will work with the JDm front end.

I just wanted to be clear, I could use just the hood, bumper, and headlights... and I wouldn't need the radiator support?
I have a CRX, and it seemed to work for Spaceballs... but it didn't work for nitekids, but he had his HB pictured. Maybe it's different between the 2?
I just wanted to know if this is in fact true cause I would like to save a few bucks if possible.

OK, I think a clarification is in order here.
I am speaking about the CRX.
On the CRX, you cannot just use the JDM bumper and keep the US hood and lights. They don't line up.
On the CRX, you can get away with using the US radiator support. I have installed the JDM radiator support and it still needed to be modified to latch the hood properly, just like I had to modify the US one.
So, for the CRX you really need the complete swap, (hood, bumper and headlights)and the fenders and radiator support are optional.
Can someone fill in for the hatch?
Here is a pic of the US rad support and JDM front end. no washers here.
