Just bought a header, and its dented!!! How bad is it???
Well I guess my first mistake was buying a used header, and I guess after 5 or so buys/sells on H-T that went well I let my guard down!!!
The header was advertised by a member here as ONLY haveing a 3inch scratch, and NOT dented AT ALL!!! I have the convo saved, but for now I will not say who it was just in case hes willing to make good of this deal!!!
Here are pics of the "3'' scratch"

As you can see there is clearly 2 large dents in the header!!! If you look inside the header, you can see the dent from the inside as well, so my question is:
Will this greatly affect the flow of the header? Is it worth even putting on?
I know its my dumb fault for believing him, but I was in a rush to get the thing, and bought it only seeing pics of it on the car (the the bottom of it
)
Let me know what you think I should do...
Thanks

I remember seeing that header for sale.
When he sent me pictures of the dent I knew it was worse than he described it.

Yeah I never got pics of it, I was specifically told that there was no dent, it was only a scratch. He said this several times, because I asked several times. I have it all saved.

not quite there buddy. While i am not the seller I have a header dented in the exact same place on both tubes. there isn't any noticeable difference in performance (both dyno and butt dyno). Just not big enough of a dent to hurt the car's engine performance IMHO.
Mike <--who thinks the buyer should pay less money especially if it was advertised as not being dented!

Well the seller is giving me my money back, so I am happy now. I agreed to pay for it to be shipped back, I just want my money back so I can buy new this time!!!
As far as the dents maybe not being that bad, thats not really the point, its the fact that I wasn't made aware that it was damaged that ticked me off.
He made good for it now, so I'm just going to drop it.
Thanks for the advice, and thank you again to the mods on here for doing an awesome job!!! You guys deserve a big

Ya, dont even put it on. its not worth your effort. the stock header would probably flow better. IMO. I hate people that lie about stuff they are selling. Good luck.
oops just read your getting your money back thats cool.

Dent is not the same as scratch. Some ****'s say, "header for sale, has a dent but does NOT affect flow or performance".
sorry to hear of someone not being honest about their stuff....
Some people will lie cheat and steal just to make a penny....
