ES Bushings
Well I just got done putting in my shifter bushings last night and I certainly enjoy the difference. However, I would also like to replace my shift rod bushings and shifter bushings. Especially the one tranny side right where the bitch pin is. When I'm up under my car I can literally shake and flex that area. It jus seems very loose, so is there an ES or similar kit for this or am I going to have to get stock replacements? I've searched ebay and found nothing. Thanks!
wouldn't the es master kit have those bushings in it? i think that it should, it just sucks buying the master kit when you probably won't use everything that is included w/ it.......
Yeah I've seen those, I should just buy it, take the shiter ones out and send it back saying it wasnt complete.
Oh well, in that case I'll just wait till I feel like replacing a good bit of them then just grab the master kit.

The links you gave are what I just installed, I want the shifter and shift rod bushings, not the torque rod ones.
Course I should have said "put in the torque rod bushings" but the kit is always called the shifter kit. My bad if I wasnt clear.

Looking at this http://www.hondaautomotivepart...LEVER they dont even list the part I'm looking for as a part.
Its just connected to the shift rod (very right of #14). What comes in that kit you linked is #18 and what looks like #16 at the other end of that rod. But I was just curious if they even sold the part I was looking for bc mine has too much play imo. It sure seems like theres a bushing in there.
Thanks for looking though and I guess I'll just have to grab oem stuff for the rest of the shifter.

I heard that if #13 is bad that it will cause a mushy feeling in your shifter and that is a dealer only bushing.
*EDIT* I guess I shouldnt call it a bushing since all it is is a collar? But thats what I was reading under someones bushings post.

Doh, thats what I wondered, that one and the one on the other end right before the bitch pin (no #) is what I'm looking for. I have another Si tranny in my garage with the shift rod left on it and it doesnt shake like the one in my car does thats what got me wondering. I'll hit honda later and see whats up.

If you are talking about the u-joint looking part, I don't think there are bushings available although there are several inside. I read on another board about someone (machinist type) who disassembled and made new nylon bushings. Said it improved shifter feel tremendously. Don't think bushings are available---buy new linkage.......

Yeah I think replacing the linkage is the only way, the shifts are slightly off, doesnt feel like its going in and out of gear the right way. The shifter arm probably has half an inch of deflection at the tranny, you can shake it quite a bit. My other tranny has none, its completely rigid. Oh well, I was hoping it could just be a bushing.
ALL of the rubber and nylon CRX bushings are available from Honda. I have a full set of them ready to install along with the ES/Neuspeed kit. You need the part that the shifter ball sits in along with the O-rings, etc to fully restore the shifter. Check with your local dealer or look at the drawing at Majestic Honda's site. The stock parts are just fine.
