Default bad fuel economy

i just changed my spark plugs. i had bosch platinum 2 but 10k miles later i had ignition problems. i found it to be that the spark plugs were all shot the tips were gone and had black **** all around it. so i changed them with ngk platinum 4's and the problem was solved. but then a new problem came with fuel economy. before i was getting 320 miles + to the tank and now i get like 250-280. i have a 93 lx 1.5 liter and it gets killer gas mileage but now it sucks. jw wondering if anyone could help with my problem. thanks tj

take the platiniums out and slap in a set of copper NGKs or Densos or other properly gapped name brand plugs. platinum plugs were designed to last not to create the best perfromance. i would also check out the rest of the fuel and ignition system.

change the fuel filter, rotor/cap/plug wires if they haven't been serviced in the past 25k+ miles.
