Tire Pressures for 1/4 mile?
I know this has been covered on numerous occassions(did a search, no luck), but what tire pressure is recommended on a Stock Type R with the stock tires? Curious as to what you guys recommend for both front and rear. I'm at a really high altitude, over 5,000 feet if that makes any difference. I'm looking for any tips on launching also, my previous best 60' was only 2.5 with 36psi in the front and rear.
Thanks for any ideas.

20-22psi in the front and 40-42psi in the rear.
launch at 4500 and slip it out hard try to minimize wheel spin. Your quarter mile is determined how well you get out of the hole.

i have mines at 26-28, normal driving i have it at 32-34....it all depends on how u race...cause i've tried it from 18psi -34psi on street tires...i like 26psi, i get that extra 2mph on my trap speed...
Go with 20-22. I usually use 21 and that works great. As mentioned previously your trap speed with be lower, but that is only because you are not spinning as much off of the line. Generally, the more you spin the faster your trap speed.
I haven't overinflated my rear tires to help, but I have heard that will help.
Good Luck

Just curious... Wouldn't the recomended tire pressure put more tred on the ground? Seems like under inflating them would cause the middle of the tire to lose contact with the ground.
depends on the sidewall stiffness I believe. On 20540-17's, yea it would probably be so stiff it would force the middle of the tire off the pavement. But if you're on 205 60-15's... it should help a bit. EV.
