Default How to make the DVD player play DVD's while the vehicle is moving?

I won't be watching any DVD's while driving, but my passengers would like to. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe they're hooked up so they won't play while the ignition is in the "on" position. Most shops won't even hook it up to play so that you could watch while driving. They are avoiding the chance of being held liable when some dumbass starts watching TV while driving then crashes their car. Rear seat monitors are a different story.

I thought most were hooked up to the parking brake? I think you just have to complete the circuit in order for the DVD player to play all the time.

what unit are you using??

if its an alpine, just get a switch and ground 1 side of it out, then take the wire coming from the brain the other side that is supposed to be attached to the parking brake and wire to the switch, when you switch on the switch it will make the alpine brain think that the parking brake is engaged and you can watch TV and DVD now..

I was going to do it with my Clarion model. Do all in-dash DVD players not allow you to play DVD's while the vehicle is moving or is it just on certain models?

My old kenwood had a pink wire that said parking brake. I grounded that with everything else and it tricked the Player thinking the brake was on at all times so it would play when i drove.
