Default My EK hatch is finally back on the road! *56K warning*

It's been a long 6 months, but my hatch is finally up and running again! It was just sitting in my garage these past months waiting to get the B18C rebuilt because I was busy visiting law schools, prepping for my LSAT and juggling my hectic school schedule that I didn't have any time whatsoever to deal with my worn out and tired motor. I totally forgot what it was like to drive it after all that downtime.

Anyhow, the motor is rebuilt and running strong once again. The break-in process right now is wearing on my patience! I can't wait to hear VTEC again. I've been hearing VANOS in the M3 and the muted VTEC in the Accord for the past 6 months, haha. Exterior wise, I'm going to be taking it in for a new paint job when I get the chance, but other than that, if anyone on here remembers my hatch, it still looks the same with the exception of a new CF duckbill. Actually, now that I think about it, my hatch has looked exactly the same as it did 7 years ago with only the Mugen wing and grille coming off and various wheels (14", 15", 16", 17") throughout the years. Well I took a bunch of new pics, hehe, hope you guys don't mind that there are so many, I'm just thrilled my hatch is back and I'm among the Honda masses again

Thanks for some of the compliments guys...in response to the questions:

The wheel offset is +35. I believe http://www.worksuperwheels.com has the Work RSZ-R's now in 15" and 16" in +42 offsets.

Yeah, they are EG mirrors. I had them on since 1998 when I didn't have a clue where to get a set of CTR's without paying an arm and a leg, so I picked up a set of EG mirrors for 50 bucks. I thought they looked better than the chunky stock EK mirrors so I put them on.

As for the headlights, the reason they look like that isn't from fogging or from old age. Not long after I got my swap, while I was driving, my upper radiator hose blew and coolant shot out all throughout my engine bay and seeped over my hood and headlights, lip, bumper, etc. It was an ugly mess. It was a hot summer day so the coolant etched itself onto the paint and it took me multiple buff jobs to get it out of the paint and to clean up my engine bay. I couldn't save the headlights, so they've been jacked up ever since.

Mugen

Someone already answered this, but on the SiR EG/EK hatches in Japan and the VTi hatches in the UK, the DOHC VTEC decals are placed this way, not the way they placed them on the 99-00 Si coupes.

Jerry,

It's funny, I remember back in the day, before I even had a honda, seeing your car on Speedoptions. I always came back to yours as it was the best out of what they had to offer. I know that's not saying much , but I always dug your car.

Then finally getting on Hybrid and seeing your car around on the board, it made me appreciate it even more.

I can say that your car was one of the many influences that brought me from, "I wanna get a body kit", to "I wanna do a swap and have a dope car".

Props man
