R/T doesn't affect your E/T.

i really thought i would hit 11s this yr but i think im goin to fall shy. unless i can get more power out of it (ie header maybe) i dont think its goin to happen.
im no tuner by any means but when i went to the dyno baselined at 195 and everything i changed dropped HP it tells me i had it pretty well dialed in.
heres the setup:
B18C1 JE 12.5:1 81.5mm pistons, eagle rods, oem bearings
untouched ITR head, ITR intake mani, ITR TB, JUN 3 cams, gears, the usual
bone stock US ITR tranny, kosei K1s, MT 22/8/15 slicks, skunk2 drag kit, stock shocks, polyurethane bushings
JDM DC header, 3" generic short ram intake, home made exhaust (dumps at rear lower control arm)
chipped P28, VAFC
that should sum up the important stuff, the fuel system dont mean ****, but i run on chevron 92 octane at 16 degrees

Even so, that is still a good R/T.

the 1700lbs is without me, im about 190 or so so im creepin up to 1900lbs w/driver

it comes down to what the best header per dollar that i can find. i wont spend 1200 on a hytech and im not goin to spend 1k on a SMSP. so ive narrowed it down to header tech or AN-R. i still run exhaust because open header just drives me crazy and i wont run open header. i also got lines on a custom built 1 off piece by someone that will remain unnamed at this time. his price will b about the same as the 2 headers mentioned above.

from what I remember....any reaction time less than .500 is foul(launching b4 green), but I haven't been into racing for awhile.

usually i run anywhere from 6.5-8psi b4 burnout. usually launch at 8k or near there, 22/8/15MTs. the next run i misshifted but ran a 1.636 60' not that 1/1000th of a second is a huge deal.

last weekend i experimented with launching at 9k but then i didnt get as good of 60' times but 1st gear sure is short on that kinda launch.
