Whp Gains with Ctr pistons and JUn 3's???
I plan on putting some ctr pistons and jun 3 cams for my b18c1, I dynoed the car a while ago and got 169whp. I currently added a v-afc, not tunned and plan on adding ctr pistons and jun 3 cams. Does anyone know a estimate of how much whp will i be getting with the additon of cams and pistons? Has anyone had problems with running higher compression for daily driving? What other things should i get to enforce the drivability of the car for better reliablity in daily driving?- like change the rods? I have springs and retainers for the cams already. Thanks.
List of parts I have:
-Aem Adj. cam gears
-aem cold intake
-dc 4-2-1 header
-dc exhaust
-V-afc
-spoon chipped ecu
-msd ignition w/ blaster coil
-99 si tranny
-fuel regulator
-fuel pump
-type r cams
-jun flywheel
-act street/drag clutch

you would be much happier w/ hondata.
i gained 16whp acoss the band over a p28 mugen/skunk2 chip.
i dyno'ed one hour only. my gears are still set at 0,0. i'm sure there are
more hp to be found if i spend another 1-2 hours on dyno.
this is not a must but if you have a dc jdm 4-1 (or better header), you'll
see more hp.

curious on this subject...I thought GS-R rods stretch at high rpms (i.e. rpms JUN3's are made to run at). Wouldn't it be better to run Type R rods or something along those lines...
