After 2-day extravaganza, "Bacardi 151" finally has her new home!!!! (Pic Intense)
The masterful trip spanned over 2 very full days, 1,280 total driven miles and had a top traveling speed of 120 mph...
It all began on Wednesday at 8:30am, Ed and I left to head up to Ohio to rescue the beautiful 97 ITR #151!
8:30am - Final gas fillup in RSX! Woohooo!
9:30am - I pull up to toll plaza on PA Turnpike but cant reach ticket DOH! Have to take off seatbelt, open door, etc hAHAHAHAHA Ed is laughing at me. Grab ticket, peel off, catch 2nd gear in RSX, glovebox FLIES open for the first time ever in that car... Ohh well, I am trading it in anyway LOL
11:30am - Ed is driving RSX.... Followig 2 crown victorias but can't figure out if both or just one in front is an actual cop.... must slow down to 70mph from 100+
12:15pm - Ed states that we have just over 80 miles to get to the dealership so by his calculations "we should get there is give or take 15 minutes". Ummm Ed cant do math very well in his head....
12:22pm - Ed flips off some dude in front of us in a Camera, the Camera slams on brakes.. Ummmm Uhhhh
12:33pm - Have gone 18 miles in 13 minutes.. what does that work out to be?
12:45pm - Fuel for the road... STARBUCKS!
1:00pm - Ed has a moral dilema... "is it wrong to do 95mph in a work zone when no one is working and no one is on the road at all?" I dont answer at all to this one....
1:15pm - I ask "Are we in Ohio yet?" when I look up and see that we have been on the Ohio turnpike for over 10 minutes.. Ummm yeah....
So we get to the dealership in Ohio and check out the ITR. I test drive it for over an hour but they couldnt finish up the paperwork in time before they close so they ask me to come all the way back up to Ohio the next day to finish up... SO, we drive ALLLLL the way back home.... Uneventful drive home, thankfully.
Wedneday police summary (total speed traps evaded)-
Gina - 3, Ed - 3, Cops - ZERO
So, yesterday, Thursday we finally leave yet again, but this time to turn in the RSX and come home with my new baby! So we head out at 11:00am
11:06am - Thank god we borrowed a Valentine One for the trip... It proved to work when I was lasered by 3 cops and it saved my ***!
11:36am - RICE ENCOUNTER!! BLING BLING!!!
Noon - Pass through Phallus, MD or is it Breezwood? Hancock? Handwood? Breezecock? Hmmmm
2:30pm - Does this look familiar to anyone?
3:30pm - FINALLY get to dealership... in addition to the 97 ITR this one was also on the lot. The salesman tells me "this one is fast, it has timeslips in the glovebox, new heads, toda header and blah blah blah" lol
5:00pm - Working on paperwork in the dealer, but here is a pic of the old RSX and soon to be NEW ITR!
6:00pm - SHE IS MINE! WOOHOOO here are some more pics
Evo and the ITR
Can you tell that I am happy????? hehe
Oh, at dinner here I am staring out the window at my new baby... hehhe
Here is what I am looking at...
Also here are some links to mpegs of the drive home

This is what is wrong with our society these days.
No one is interested in the story telling or the process of getting to the point, only the punchline. It's really sad actually.

. Good luck with it and keep it stock it will be worth wayyyy more in the long run. Especially the 97's. Good find!

I started my life with a GSR. Then I got a newer GSR. Then the light shone upon me and I was blessed with a 2000 PY ITR. It rules - if you have never driven a Type R then you can't understand the greatness it can give to you.
Then the dark times came... I let it go and got an RSX. Dear God don't buy a base RSX after owning a Type R. It's like...um... being married to a hot chick that could cook like no other and then dumping her *** for some really lazy fat girl with a snoring disorder.
Then the magic happened... a 97 CW ITR found me! I got my hot chick back! Nothing can ever compare to the sound of 8krpm and the freakish powerband and butter smooth tranny and the ability to make laps around a dime at 300mph.
It's been really difficult over the past year getting involved in the Expo and roadracing events with a non-ITR. Now I have my absolute dream car (a GOLDEN 97 beauty) and plan to track the living isht out of it!!!! I'm going to do with that car precisely what Honda of Japan designed it to do
