Default Spark Plugs

What kind of sparks plugs would be best to use with high compression, so that the plugs do not hit the pistons. Or would it be best to add additional spacers.

Well on the assumption of a B-Series motor....NGK ZFR6F-11's. Or if you are a baller you could run Denso IK20's. I use to run OEM Denso's, but the above mentioned are great for 1/4 the price.

If you are worried about hitting the dome you should go with some retracted tip plugs, something like NGK part number 5671A-8 stock number 4554 (These are number 8's so they are pretty cold). These are pretty retracted so there's plenty of clearance for the piston dome.

I'm getting two stock number for the 8's. 2660 and 4554 seem to work. Maybe one of them is pre-gapped.

R5671A-7 (stock number 5587)

vs. BKR7EVX-11 (platinum-coated BKR plug)

Nice work IN VTEC. Looks like NGK has a bad *** website.

If you look closely at R5671A-7 you'll see that side electrode is only halfway over the center electrode. That's a good design, gives you mo power, believe it or not.

IN VTEC, how did you find the part numbers on the NGK website?

Thanks.

I thought the BKR7E was a one step colder plug?

I use a combination of clubplug.net's catalog and sparkplugs.com's stock/part number search.

I use a 1.3mm (.051") gap with the laser platinum plugs. The motor has 11.3 CR. No misfiring thus far.
