Default crx door pillar? Not sure what its called.. how do you put it on!

Okay, this is the part that goes to the right of the drivers side window on the door. There is also one on the passengers side, its a plastic piece. How do you install this? Mine seems to keep coming loose and im not sure if any of the clips are broken or not. Im having a really hard time trying to keep it on. If anyone can help me out, that would be great, ill try to look for a pic of it. Thank you.

Well if you kind of grab onto it and can pull it out slightly then more than likely some of your clips are broken. You can try pushing on it right in the middle and see if the clips just popped out but I think that they are broken its very common for them to break.

Yeah, they break all the time. My passenger side is loose, I hope it doesn't fall off anytime soon. I see CRX's all the time running around without them.

I also hear the clips are a bitch to get ahold of.

the people that broke into my car stole mine and the clips broke off......... really pisses me off cuz i know for sure they werent able to re-use them............. i had to go to the dealer ship and pay like 40 per side i think it was.......... they are still kinda loose and i may use some 3m adhesive of some sort to keep them in place.

I might try some silicone to hold mine on since a few of my clips are broken as well but who knows maybe I will splurge and buy them either from the dealer or majestichonda. I have a few laying around but all the clips are broken on them as well!!!

If anyone can post a pic of the clips, there is a huge factory around here that has all these clips. Last time I went, they had the screw type things that Honda puts on there cars. So I might be able to get these clips.

Well its not just the clips its the fact that the place that the clips mounts to breaks off of the plastic outer piece so even if you had the clips it wouldnt do you any good since its broke off of the black plastic piece itself.

I wish I had one to show you the clip is only this tiny little white piece cant really explain it though?? Maybe if I have tiume later I will find one of the clips and scan iot for you though.

Is one side nipple shaped, then the other side is round with like 2 rings ? I just described the piece that holds the triangle in place in the back.

Mine flew off once before too, and i went to a junkyard and got this one, but the clips were broken too, i siliconed it on before, held it pretty good till yesterday when it decided to come loose. Anyone know some really strong adhesive thats water resistant, kinda like silicone but holds better? Oh well, may just have to silicone those suckas back on!

the clips are weird, on the door its like these little square-like white pieces and on the door pillar plastic piece, they are these weird things that kinda go around the square on the car. Im not really sure how to describe it, they are weird. Ill try to get some pics.

Im willing to bet that if its comming off then the clips are broken, 99% of the time when thoses come loose, its broken clips.

I had to use JB weld on mine to get them to stay and it worked very well.

What is the name of this part? Just so I don't sound like a moron when I'm trying to get some replacements.

You cannot remove it without breaking the plastic tabs on the peice itself.

If it is coming loose, your only recourse is to get one from the dealer.

About 35 bucks per side.

if they are the ones I am thinking of honda still sells the clips...like $1 each sucks but why not get the oem ones...

also the actual door garnish is only $25 from Honda...

I skimmed the thread but you guys are over thinking things check honda if you need little clips and stuff they usually have them, sometimes they are worth the $
