the back cover is getting in the way,how do i remove this? i alredy remove the front part but the one behind it wont budge. its the plastic piece between the cam gear and the cam seal

 

anybody? engine is at TDC, cam plates and cam caps are off. the timing belt is off the gears and i just need info on how to pull out the cams. c-speed doesnt cover it since it looks like thier back cover is off from the beginning. someone repy with some input!

 

can i just cut it? it seems b16 head doesnt have this cover.

if you are talking about the plastic rings that is between the cam gear and camshaft, that got in the way for me as well. I just used some tin snips and cut the plastic rings off. No probs so far.

 

Is there a bolt in the hole under the exhaust cam cutout? I can't remember if it uses the 2 10mm that go thru the front cover, or if there is another bolt for just the rear cover. It should come right off, once unbolted.
