Default Minime D16A6 head swap

Does anyone have any resources I could take a look at to find out about the SOHC VTEC head swap onto a D16A6?

TIA....

It's not a good swap...
I did the mini-me on my EF and the thing had chronic detonation. IMHO you'd be better off hardfacing the stock cam, or porting your stock head and rebuilding it.

Thanks for the reply... I'm not the one doing the swap, so I'll pass on the recommendation to stay away from it.

I was just wondering when you did your head swap, i know you had to use a Feilds VTEC controller right? to engage the vtec solenoid? now, did you have to upgrade your ECU to conpensate for the VTEC engagement?( ie. more fuel, more air) and what about your distributor, i've notice on one swap that only 2 of the three distributor bolts now line up? well let me know what you did becuase i am thinking about doing it to my CRX...

I used an A'PEXi Rev/Speed Meter's RPM output to switch the VTEC cam on at a specific RPM. (Dynoed it and 3,000 turned out to be the best.) I also had an A'PEXi Super AFC but for max power the fuel curve was only adjusted plus or minus 1 or 2 percent, even with the VTEC on. If I could do it over again, I'd have just stuck with an 88-91 head, ported it, oversized valves and a bigger cam. BTW I had a LOT of trouble getting the distributor to hold securely on the Z6 head, but the 88-91 distro will bolt up to the Y8 head.
