Default Just bought a civic with a turbo

Guys I just bought a 95 ex with a greddy turbo in it, and noticed a little leakage from the oil pan where the turbo was put in. Is there anything to do to make it stop leaking? Something simple? Please help! Thanks

jb weld...or better yet drain your oil....take off the fitting and go get it welded on....i'm sure you can do all that at the muffler shop

Are you talking about the oil return line?

Just cleanit as best you can, maybe spray some brake cleaner to get the oil off of the pan and fitting.

Use some copper insulation that is safe for autos, or maybe JB weld to seal the leak.

The fitting is on the oil pan already and it leakes where the two meet. I will try the jb weld, but in the mean time any other suggestions?

the jb weld is probably the easiest and cheapest method. Not really hard. Just get a package from Home Depot and mix it together. clean the spot and apply. not hard at all.

OT:

Where do you buy JB Weld? Is JB Weld what the actual product is called, or is there multiple JB Welds under different names?

they already gave you about the only suggestions you can do..

1. get it welded (or re-welded if it already is)

2. use jb-weld

i would just use jb weld...drain the oil first..clean all around everything REALLY good, apply the jb weld all around it and let it dry at least overnight (12-24hrs)

that should fix it as long as you got a good seal with the jb weld
