Painted Carbon Fiber?
I was looking at cars on the web today, and saw a 92 Hatch with painted carbon fiber mirrors , but you could still see the cf over the paint. It looked hella sweet. I was just wondering if NE 1 knew about how they did this. Ill try and post pic, Thanx.
I think I know what you're referring to. I remember back in the day, this guy had a body shop spray their car color over the cf hood, and wet sand, it looked like colored weave, but it was actually just paint. It was red, but because of the dark cf, it looked burgundy. I'm sure any custom body shop can do this.

Don't they sell colored cf hoods? The "red" ones are always kinda burgundy, so they don't quite match the car, but it's off enough so it doesn't look like it was mistake.

I think my friend use to add the smallest amount of base into the clear and spray it like that and get the same effect.
