I just installed a new clutch master cylinder today and now my clutch doesnt engage until the pedal is almost all the way out. I have a six puck clutch and the stock mc finally went up after 230,000 miles and the pressure from that clutch. Before my clutch would engage almost as soon as I started to let it out, pretty much instant. Now it has to travel all the way out to grab. I bled the system at the slave cylinder and the pedal has great pressure like it should. Anyone know where the adjustment is that would make this difference?
You can adjust the pushrod that goes from the back of the pedal throught he firewall and into the master cylinder.
It connects to the pedal and there is a 12mm locknut, behind a gold puck shaped thing. Loosen the 12mm locknut and you can adjust the pedal height and engagement by twisting the pushrod. (turning one way moves it further into the firewall, another moves it out).
Afterwards if you have too much free play, there is a 14mm bolt that acts as a stopper in front of the clutch pedal. Loosen the nut holding the bolt and you can turn the bolt further down to remove some free play.
