Anyone have experience w/ the Toyo FZ4 tires? are they any good?

 

It's a compromise tire. I'd avoid it, even though in general I like Toyo. T1-S if you're going Toyo (well... RA-1 if it's a track car).

I feel they are way too expensive compared to what else is out there. I have the Kuhmo 712 now *junk* I may try the Nitto NT 555 next.

 

I've never hated a tire as much as I hate the FZ4s. They suck in the dry (noisy and squirmy as hell), suck in the rain, and don't even bother in the snow. I think my RE010s were even better in the snow... and the FZ4s have an M&S rating.

The only good thing is that they're hard as rocks. I put mine on in the middle of last summer, took them off for a few months for the winter and have driven with them all this summer. I have many degrees of negative camber in the rear and they barely look worn. That's about 40000 miles so far.

The T1S are nice, but they didn't last. Tradeoff. I'm not driving my FZ4s at the track so I don't care.

KUMHO! theyre good for normal driving and occasional track.

 

wha about the falken azenis? they any good? Do they make them in 205 45 16?
