Default New Integra Type-R Turbo Dyno #'s

Well I got the R retuned at the dyno this week and dispite some problems with boost creep I was very impressed with the numbers put down...

when we finally got the boost to hold at 10 psi it made 301.9 whp 199.5 trq.

Its a stock ITR motor with just an inline pro headgasket. It was tuned on hondata 2b by Shad at Abucus Racing in Virginia Beach. Im impressed with these numbers but let me know what you think...

numbers are not bad considering you lowered the compression.

i've seen stock block itr's push in the 325whp range with the 10:6:1 compression at around 10psi.

Yeah those are very nice numbers indeed. What are the specs on your turbo.

Also how much did you lower the compression.

Its a t3/t4 turbo with .63 compressor, I figure my compression is right at about 9.2:1 or so, the HG lowered it a bit over a point.

as far as my set-up:
stock block and head
Inline pro HG
custom turbo piping
FMIC
t3/t4 turbo
obx manifold (sucks ***)
3'' down pipe and exhaust
hondata 2b
Fpr

And the last thing is Shad, my sick *** tuner from Abucus Racing in Virginia Beach, VA.

But due to the boost creep at high rpm's those dyno numbers were at only 8000 rpm's and not the 9000 rpm redline because we didnt want the boost to go past 10psi.

Yep I got some of the bugs worked out and hopefully I'll beable to make the trip back down to hyperfest this year .

As far as my exhuast its just a 3" Thermal and it made power all the way to 8000 rpms when we shut it down.

what was causing the boost creep or is causing boost creep?

as you can see by my sig., I'm topping out at just under 7000 because of my exhaust...needed to know what my options are.

I guess you're using an internal wastegate on the turbo? I'm sure a nice little porting job and a bigger flap to cover the enlarged wastegate hole would take care of the creep nicely

nice numbers.

The tq is a bit low because of the compression about 9.2:1.

I have an external wastegate (tial) but the reason for the boost creep is the shitty OBX manifold, so I need a new one to completely fix the problem...

I'm running 9.0:1 and have 230ft-lbs torque...I think its your exaust. Isn't it true that a big exhaust can also rob torque ?

That statement doesn't apply much in a forced induction application, you want to get as much air in-and-out of the engine as fast and efficiently as possible.

I also agree the torque could be higher. My car did 230/192 on the bottle, but then it blew up.

I agree with a FI set-up you want as little back pressure as possible, I guess its just the motor then, the TRQ was low last time I dynoed it...

Get a better turbo manifold and larger injectors. MiraiZ is making close to 300whp and his 450cc injectors is a bottleneck, imagine how your stock 270cc injectors are.

Im running RC 440's not stock injectors, and as for getting a rev-hard manifold, I had one before and it cracked. Thats why I got the OBX, but I think Im just going to get the inline pro manifold now...
