1995 Honda Cbr 600 f3
I just recently bought a 2nd bike. A 1995 Honda cbr 600 F3. It has a salvaged title from Florida and I live in Ca. I need to take it to the CHP for some vin# verification. They told me I need to locate teh Engine Vin#. Where is that?...... does anyone know?
Take off the inspection cover and middle fairings. The engine # is on the right side of the upper crankcase. It's kinda hard to see, and you might want to use a flashlight, especially if the DMV/CHP official doesn't have one.
What are you planning on doing with a 2nd bike?

doing everything else on....I just push myself harder on the 2nd bike since I don't care bout it....can do whatever I want and if it goes down...gets stolen...oh well......
Wow, methinks you have too much money. Wanna buy me an extra one too? =D
As for my personal assho...i mean, opinion...I would have just bought some spares for the first one. And I wouldn't ride anywhere without a lock with me. Just one bike would be cheaper (one less bike, not as much insurance to pay, registration fees, maintenance...). Not to mention the money saved could go towards a track day (I think I said this already in a previous post) or gear or what not.
Anyhoo, congrats on your purchase. Good luck with the bike! How much did you get it for? And what condition is it in?

I got the bike for $1800.00....it was salvaged...straight frame...person replaced all the farings...runs great....not a problem with it......

Did you have to get it shipped? Or was the seller in CA? You should still have the bike checked out by a mechanic, just to make sure everything is hunky-dory.
it was here in Sac it was only like 30 min away...I went and picked it up...it was checked out by a mechanic....all it needs is a carb adjust and a valve clearance adjust.....dropping it off on Wed
I dont know about where you live, but they go by the vin number on the frame. It is stamped on the steering head. Also there is a vin sticker on the tubular frame right where the upper meets the gastank.
My bike has a different motor in it, so i know those numbers wont match. it the motor was damaged on that bike, they might not match.
Good luck

go on ebay or cycletrader....but you better have the cash on hand to buy...cause the good deals go fast...and watch out for the too good to be true deals...there is usually something else wrong with it...
