It's easy.
On the back side of the pump where it attaches to the power steering pump bracket is a bolt.. 14mm I think, it's torqued to 17lbs-ft, loosen it. Then go to the wing nut at the top, turn it COUNTER-clockwise to loosen, clockwise to tighten, while turning the wingnut make sure the belt is becoming less tense (less tensioned? hehe) just to make sure I'm not backwards
. Eventually the belt will be loose enough to remove. Once it's off, just tighten down that bolt you loosen earlier so the pump doesn't move around.

Are there any drawbacks to doing this. Like not using the pump for a little while... wil it hurt and thing... can I put the belt back on 1,2,3 and have power steering again?!? little more info pleeeez

Yes.

It takes 5 minutes max to put the belt on or take it off.
Note - it is not worth it to take the belt off and do nothing else, except for drag. It makes turning the wheel VERY VERY difficult for street driving. Much more difficult to drive than a manual rack.
Allowing the PS fluid to loop through the rack is much much more effective, like how Dropspeed did it (and others).

I took my belt off last year to see what it was like. Overall I like it alot, if anything it will help make your arms stronger
. Since I took the belt I have been meaning to take the whole pump out, but lazyness ownz me big time.

take itout, have no fear, the only tough part is under 2mph, but it's still manageable, the feel on the road is 10x better... then just loop the lines later and get more improvment.
