is that a good price for a 98 type r with 60k miles? it seems to be in pretty good condition, but i was wondering if that was a good price before i went to check it out. thanks.

Remember that when buying a car the price listed is only the asking price, im more then sure that it is negotiable, if youve got the cash anyone is willing to deall... good luck
Seriously, are these R's shitted out? I couldn't get a GSR for that price around here. I payed 13500 cash for my 99 GSR w/ 47k. Full Leather and great condition.
I got my R for $14,250. It's a 98 with 61k. Perfect condition, with AEM CAI and 12" sub along with Boston Acustic speakers all around. It also came with new snow tires on steelies. You should be able to talk him down a little.
Nah this car has had only one owner, and is in showroom condition, no accidents or anything from what carfax and the guy said. Motor is still super strong.

Agreed, those really aren't high miles at all. The car is 5 years old. 60/5 = 12k per year
Larkin who bought his 97' w/ 36,000 miles in sept for $15,000

remember, $15k isn't far off for the value of a 98. i probably wouldn't pay that much for it, but then again i get bored of cars rather quickly and switch.
don't cheat yourself out of a nice car for a few hundred dollars or even 1g.
meaning, if the car is as clean as you say and in great shape, original owner it would be tough to pass by.
there are plenty of used itr's on the market that have been beaten to death. finding a good condition itr these days is tough, especially a 97-98 if that's what you're looking for.

so because some one got a better deal than other people that implies too high?

you got one hell of a deal, considering blue book wholesale is 18500 for the car with 45000 miles.

Pretty strange logic to be sure. Seller was either clueless or in a hurry. I bought a used Miata a few years ago for about $3k under blue book value. It had been raining constantly for about a month before so dealer was not exactly getting inundated with offers. To conclude that anyone who paid more than me was paying too much would be silly though.
$15k sounds reasonable. Try $14k to see how desperate they are.
