Can anyone in here help me get KYB "Super Special Gymkhana Race Coilovers" ?
Jack from IL that moved to Japan was going to help me get these but he seems to be very busy with work and isn't currently able to help me out.
I have also asked in bestbuy forum with no response. From what I have gathered they are a Japan market item only. So, contacting USA KYB or Europe KYB is no help.
So, if anyone reading this can help me out, please PM me.
Thanks, SK-

I'd also be interested in a set possibly. But you knew that already
Maybe we'll just have to go over there and get them....

LOL. Nope. Especially not if me, you and a bunch of other stunnas all bring 10 over each.
Anyways, I'm wondering if they are available even in Japan. I have heard they are order-only there too, so there may be some wait time. Which means the trip might have to be a long one.!
Hopefully someone has more concrete info. I'd really like to get a set.

Ask Leo at http://www.jdmspecperf.com and the guys at http://www.aj-racing.com . They can get all the jdm goodies it just takes time and money. Good luck

guys, before you all jump at this...
remember, the shocks only come with 4 adjustment settings
each click makes a BIG difference...
ask oscar, this is what frustrates him the most
otherwise you can't go wrong with a 45mm shock...handles high spring rates

yup.....the weak point on these KYB is only come with 4 adjustment on the damper setting. It's a little hard to find the right setting sometimes (especially in wet track conditions.....ask me how I know it
)
other than that...it's a great damper. I'm currently using spring rate like F12K and R8K (for both street & track driving) and I believe Wai is using F20K, R18K (track only).

It's F20K R16K.
: Steel bodied, only 4-level of adjustability.
: Reasonably priced ($700~$800), can handle high spring rates.

You can't order them, they are Japanese market only. You have to go get them, or have someone over there buy them.
The best bet is a friend like Wai's or someone else, if anyone knows anybody reasonably well over there.
Chris - who wouldn't call these regular jdm goodies, considering the low price...

Any of you guys consider the JIC FLT-2's??? Those look like some nice pieces. I know JG has/had them on his car. Got them off Katman which he really seemed to like them alot... I think the spring rates are like 10kF-8kR... Cost is like 1200-1400 price range.
I think Mark from ONE6 also has these on his R. Dont know if he's on the board though. I might stop by his shop this weekend and I'll ask him how he liked them.

Jay, I asked him how he liked them and he said he was impressed. Actually, already considered the JIC he has if the KYB cannot be obtained. The price of the JIC if around $1400 is
though for me.
Maybe he can get us a deal? Let me know, I'm interested as well.

Yeah, he has an account with them. I can find out his price for sure. Im trying to decide if I wanna invest in a set of these, or just replace my KYB AGX shocks and keep running my skunk2 set-up. For having two rear blown shocks, my car really impressed me and seem to have held up ok.
Im sure it would have done alot better if the two rears wasnt blown.

It sure would have been alot better if you chewed up your azenis and had them screaming all day like me!

You might also want to check with AJ Racing as they once said they might be able to get this item.
Also, if babelfish translated the page correctly, it appears that the front shocks are valved a lot stiffer than the rear. It's the typical JDM setup, only for Ghymkana they seem to take this to an extreme to promote rotation with a FWD car.
