Default General cost of b16...

Has anyone here put together a b16 from just a block and crank? How much did you end up spending all together?

Would i just be better off picking up a b20 long block and completing that?

Building from stock or aftermarket internals? Milling, porting, or polishing?

just getting it together, mix of stock and ctr internals, nothing too crazy, no actual motor work, just getting everything together.

Haha, I knew it would only be a matter of time until you came to your senses and decided to go B-Series . Just kidding man .

If you decide to go with a B20 block you're gonna run into spending more $$ prepping the block, tapping it for oil, new pistons, rods, etc. You could find B16 swaps for dirt cheap now days. B16's are very nice platforms to start with, they have tons of potential!

EDIT: B16A 92-00 (SiR-II) Complete Change Over- $2350.00 Plus shipping and handling from http://www.hmotorsonline.com

Hey what's up Hovic! How you been?

1. I actually have a bare JDM B16 block and crank, so i can put one together slowly.

2. I have enough spare parts to build another D16Y8.

Or I can sell all of the above and just do a N/A or SC'd B20. Just trying to figure out the cost between putting the B16 or B20 together.

B16 will be a little cheaper, and much easier to find parts. IMHO
