I mess with vafc's and safc's but have no interest learning the AEM. I just want this car to run right!!!

well if you can wait alittle longer, norris p. from nu image will be there for a race. For a small fee i'm sure he would take a look at your car. I believe the race is at or near bristol. write him, his name on here is 1fstcar.

Call AEM, they have a list of all registered EMS tuners.

The tuning was never completed because of 2 things:

1. The clutch was shot and would not hold at any boost and was barely driveable

2. The car does not currently have an O2 sensor hooked up to the EMS. It needs atleast a 4 wire to be hooked up for open loop idle corrections and part throttle.

The new owner has already corrected the clutch problem and is either purchasing a wideband or a 4 wire O2 sensor for feedback. There is no way to tune a car to run good at idle or part throttle in all conditions, without an O2 sensor to make constant corrections, due to different qualities of gas, humidity, etc. Of course, wide open throttle in closed loop can be tuned, if it can get there, but with a slipping clutch, no way to tune. He has corrected all this and is supposed to drop it off tomorrow evening.

I do have a question on this one. How do you tune a VAFC or SAFC without a wideband O2 sensor and display to tell you the air fuel ratio?
