Who organized the ITR Expo??
I was wondering who organized the ITR Expo? What went into the planning, etc.? I help organize a bunch of ITR's over here in the NY/NJ/Conn area and would love to do some sort of East Coast Expo or at least help out in next years Expo. Maybe a midwest location or Texas or Georgia??? I am not sure what race tracks (Mid-Ohio?, Texas Speedway? Road Atlanta??) Just throwing out ideas.
Also, I am very proud of you guys for organizing a very safe event !! No damaged cars !!! Every participant should be congratulated on that one !!

GingerMan Raceway in Michigan will be the site for ITR Expo 2002. Fun track, and safe!
I'm willing to assist in making some of the arrangements...

It turned out to be much more difficult to pull off than we had ever expected, but glad in the overall way it turned out
Sh00t one of us an email and we'll give j00 any advise. There are so many little important details that can be overlooked. Also, be prepared to spend ALOT of time!

Basing my ideas on this post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=46458
IMHO, the only way to unite all ITR owners is to have the meeting place in OHIO @ Honda of North America plant. I think we need to get a proposal written up for Tom Elliot (Honda of NA director(?)) and demand that we use their place as a meeting place. I mean Saturn has their stupid homecoming and Corvettes have their homecoming. ITR should have a home coming too!!! Can you imagine 3000+ ITR's gathering in one place? Like Whoa....
I still think VIR Or limerock would be a better choice
Maybe Mid-ohio for 2002... and 2003 on the east coast.?!
Willis

-who is willing to be a key player in the 2003 expo at VIR... if there could be such an event.
You don't want to have it at a track that (a) is a big spectator venue and has a lot of concrete; (b) is hugely expensive; (c) will be impossible to get weekend dates. Mid-Ohio fails on all three counts.
That's why we'll have it at GingerMan instead.

**** Ginger Bread Man! The Left Coast just had their EXPO now it's our turn dammit...Do you know how far Ohio is from MA, VA, NY, NJ, FL, NC, GA? Someplace in VA would be perfect. Limerock would also be great but some of the Southern VA/NC/GA/FL guys might not want to make the trek.
It seems that there is a heavy concentration of ITR's in the Chicago area (they always have alot at their meets) and the East. In fact, I see around three ITR's a week around the NYC area (getting less and less with the thefts !!!) So anywhere on the East Coast to the Chicago area is fine with me. But the East would be nice because of the numerous choices of racetracks (Limerock, VIR, Summit Point, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen).
Fine, go ahead and book Lime Rock. You're sure you can get weekend dates there, right? And you don't mind that you're personally going to be financially liable for the track rental fee, right? Go ahead - it's your baby now. Just let us know the dates.
Anyone who doesn't know for sure that they can get weekend dates at the track they want, or who isn't willing to be liable for the track rental fee, can drop out of this discussion.

Awfully condescending attitude you have there nsxtcjr...
There are a few people who have made requests to tracks all around the east to middle US asking about open weekends next year.
Cheese~

No prob nsxtcjr. I think it'll likely be a group of people who would put down the deposit similar to EXPO #1. Would you only be willing to put $$ down if it was being held at Gingerman raceway?
No one person could have pulled off the ITR EXPO #1. And I doubt that one person will be in charge of EXPO #2.
