I have the sustec pro SS ( with helper springs) on my 1995 accord they ride good i alos had the one without the helper spring about in 1999-2000 i live in Ny and roads out here not really made for that but since you live in TX i sure u have smoother roads i would get them rides good and i would install them with out the helper springs because make the ride littel softer and slightly bouncy, reson due i like riding stiff cars i dont care about comfort, any question PM i also selling the sustec pro SS parting out my car let me know .
Tein is not overrated. feel its better than the tanabe. if i had a choice between the two, get the zeal. thats some sick *** suspension. TRUE height adjustability, as well as spring rate adjustability. but be aware, the ride on those...are harsh.

thanks for imput everyone. glad there aint no newbies that are replying.
my boys have tein and its okay. i guess it doest suit my needs. everyone has a certain criteria that they are looking for. this is how i looked it, so just bare with me.
apexi ws - is good for someone who just likes to stunt and ride slammed and street. but not suitible for track. they dont rust up like teins and goes down to 4inches.
tein SS-like apexi but has damping control which is good for road race, track, rally, drag. etc only cons i see is that it doesnt go low its for people who dont care about apearence but want performance , then this is the shock for you. the perches get lil rusted and gets jammed time to time.
another thing is that when u slam it , it gets lil chirpy and kinda bouncy. from experience i know.
tanabe sustec pros- short stroked so its made to ride slammed and on top of that has damping control . which in both rides smooth but can be harsh. i look as these shocks the best of both teins and apexi ws they offer characteristics of both coilovers.
im not tryin 2 talk down on teins. they are good dont get me wrong sorry if i offended u guys. but they seem to me a lil overated with alot of hype. our shop carries them. and they are way better den koni and GC. but it doestn have all the things u would want in a coilover i guess u can say.
zeal- i duno , but they do look big baller. but then i herd the bottom perch tends to crack from to much stress. ive herd this from a guy who has them in town and has them on his s2000. he recommeded not to get them and to go with somtn like sustec pros. das why i was asking anyone with sustec pro ss to give me some PRos and cons about them.
thanks everyone.
