Default APEXi vafc question

If plan on getting the vafc....do i need to get a fuel/air gauge?...

And is installation hard?...hookin up wires?...dyno wouldnt be a problem..

narrowband air/fuel gauge=better than nothing

i bought my VAFC in conjuction with an A/F gauge, it does help out a bit to see where the A/F mixture is at..

if you have it dyno tuned i don't see a need for a/f guage unless your nitrous.

doesn't the AFC have an A/F built in? or are you talking bout initial set up?

no the v-afc doesn't have a a/f meter built in. i don't really see a need for it since those guages are very accurate and only really tell you if you are way too rich or lean. that's only useful if your turbo, nitrous, or have serious engine work.

Wiring is easy. If you can install a car stereo, you shouldn't have any problem wiring up the VAFC.

If you do hook it up, I wouldn't even bother playing with the settings until after you get your car tuned on the dyno .. (Like I did)

ah ok, sounds like a plan to me...

where'd you get your afc?...any cheap sites you recommand?...

the lowest i've see was $280.
