Newbie. . . Need help w/CRX
Hey every1. I'm here to introduce myself and to ask for help. First of all, I'm Kemara. Im 16, from by Allentown, PA. I have a 1991 Cavalier, and my friend is giving me his 91(i'm pretty sure) CRX. Yes, giving. . . meaning my project car. It needs a computer, dash, headlights, and tail lights. Oh, and a paintjob, but i'm not worried about that right now. I'm not really new to the auto scene, but I kinda got out of it a little for my modeling. But I don't know much about cars, but i REALLY want to learn. I know, females(especially models) aren't supposed to wanna work on cars. . . TUFF!
But can anybody help me out with getting a good price, or letting me know what a good price would be for those. I'm gonna go to my friends house where the CRX is and get pix. The pix are gonna suck b/c the bumpers are inside the car, and the car is in a garage, but it'll give a little bit of an idea. No1 thinks I can pull this off and get this car on the road, but I'm gonna. Just to prove them wrong. Whether it kills me. Ok, well I hope to hear from somebody soon. Thanx a bunch :-)

Well "Kemara" let me be the first to say welcome...
Now about the "It needs a computer, dash, headlights, and tail lights." you can find everything at a junkyard around your area... also the headlights/tail lights can be bought in any aftermarket/performance shop...
About the ecu, I may have one around the house from an HF, but i don't think it'll help you out if it's an SI... So check what kind it is an let me know.
Good luck with your project car...
Welcome to H-T...

My suggestion to get the computer, or ECU, would be to post first in the classifieds section here on the site, then put the same post (with a link to your post in the classifieds section) in the "FS/WTB" thread at the top of the CRX forum. You might also want to look thru the "FS/WTB" thread in the CRX forum - you should be able to find deals on some of the stuff there.

There are some U pull its in allentown and they have a couple of crx's... Also i know another regular junk yard here in allentown has crx's... You can easily get the car on the road for a couple of hundred dollars if thats all you really need, Usually stupid crap like that can be replaced, Its the rust, and crap like that you have to worry about ....
Hey Joey. . . my car is a 91 HF. . . same as yours. So maybe you can help me out. Email me at PaFlirtGirl@hotmail.com Thanx. :-)

I still need the ECU, and stuff. So, if any1 could IM me on KemaraSingerPA on AIM, or email me at PaFlirtGirl@hotmail.com Thanx a bunch.
I might be picking up another CRX really soon to make into a track *****. If I end up getting it I'll have alot of parts for you. Welcome to the site. BTW PM Vinceg99 he should have alot of parts that you will need
ebay has some great deals on ECU's
search for a PM6 (they should only be about $20) - this is assuming you have a 5 speed... you might wanna check a salvage yard for some parts, it would probably be much cheaper this way
