Default Radiator fan question

I have been replacing the head gasket on my car for a while now. I finally got it together and drove it around. When i turned the car off, my radiator fan started working.

The fan has not worked since i have had it and i was surprised when it did. But when i tried to start the car, it would crank at all. THe battery was fine, all the lights came on but no start.

I waited 5 min and then it started fine. Any idea why fan worked and car didnt start? I dont want to get stranded somewhere. MAYbe the relay?

In both of my civics the fan never came on when the car was off. I know it comes on after you shut it off for Accords

you guys should start by checking the fuses and stuff. then u can check to see if the fan even works, connect a positive source to the fan wire and it should turn on,. good luck
