flywheel/clutch install problem
when my mechanic was about to install my new flywheel...they noticed that 4 out of 8 bolts were loose and they can pull it out by hand.
then he was about to put in the new flywheel...those 4 bolts wont screw back in.
have anyone else had or heard of this? is there a way to fix this or they just use and air gun and force it in?
thanks in advance

NEVER USE AN IMPACT to tighten things down!!!!!
Your "mechanic" should know better and use a torque wrench on all of those parts. If the bolts don't want to go in, try cleaning the holes out with a small wire brush or re-tap it with a thread tap to clean things out.
And might I suggest using LOCTITE on those bolts too. I had ONE pressure plate bolt back out and "almost" ruined my tranny. Couldn't shift into gear or anything. When we took it all apart, that bolt looked like it went through the blender on high speed.

my mechanic does know better...thats why he didnt touch it...he wants to know if anyone else every worked on that part of the car.
the threads on the bolts are fine but i'll have him check the threads on the crankshaft or whatever the flywheel is connected too
thanks for the help

very true, i got a father who is a mechanic and he give me one of these all the time >
or a few times cause i over torque things
one thing he says to remember is " to never use force, if you use the force "Luke" then there's something wrong"
