Default FLywheel and clutch installment

Is It possible to install the flywheel with a air gun and compressor and get the same results of a torque wrench???? also does any body kno the lbs for the flywheel i kno the pressure plate is 18-20lbs! Let me kNo thanks ??

um you use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to spec hence the name being torque wrench. An air gun could possibly break bolts, strip bolts, and well expletive up a lot if its not torqued correctly.


thats like using an air gun to tighten your valve cover bolts. I wouldn't do it.

But then again I drive a non vtec boosted civic, so what would I know??

i used an air gun to take them off but i would just stick with a torque wrench to put the bolts back on.

i used a impact gun to loosen and tighten up my flywheel bolts with locklite. the flywheel bolts shouldnt break anyway since they are like grade 10 or 12

as for the pressure plate. i used a rachet and tighten it up pretty good.
