Didn't do it previous to the change, thinking about draining it and filling it up with GM synchromesh from the breather on top of the tranny, how much goes in?

2.1 quarts?

 

i got the same problem, yeah its approzximatly 2 quarts, im going to do the smae thing

 

i'm hearing to use redline MTL too, i dunno, which is better guys?

 

Just go with GM syncromesh, it's worked for everyone I've heard using it...

 

I've never heard of GM syncromesh before. I think that my mechanic at the import shop would look at me kind of weird if I asked. I've just been using regular motor oil on their reccomendation. What are the benefits of the GM syncromesh?

 

Yep, regular motor oil killed my 2nd gear also. Only MTF or better from here on out.

 

try using Honda manual transmission oil it works grat also.
