ECU EEPROM Stolen - Good Replacements??
Hey guys,
When my car was in the process of being disassembled by thieves, the EEPROM (which I assume contained timing curves, etc...) was stolen out of the ECU. The ECU itself was not stolen.
Insurance is paying for a stock one, but what replacements can I get that might be better for the same price? Can just the EEPROM be replaced, or does the entire ECU have to be replaced for aftermarket upgrades?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Eric

OK....what companies make replacment ECUs that aren't outrageously expensive? I found a Comptech one, but it was only available for 97-98, I believe!
I'm looking for something to just plug and play. Thanks!
