Need help pricing my R
I'm going to be selling my R, and I'm trying to come up with a fair price. Blue book doesn't list the ITR. I've read some threads here and over on ITRCA.com. The quotes seem to be all over the place. Here are the details. Tell me what you think.
-1998 US ITR
-75K miles
-Good condition. Some scratches on front lip.
-Tinted windows
-Clear front corner lights
-AEM CAI
-Kamikaze 2.5" header
-Resonated test pipe. (Actually it is a 2.5" x 18" glasspack, but some guys call them resonators)
-2.5" custom mandrel bent catback with two (true) resonators and a straight through magnaflow muffler
-Jackson Racing Supercharger with 8 psi stepper pulley, Boost Timing Controller, MAP Controller, and high-pressure 255 l/hr fuel pump
-ZEX plugs
Thanks for any help, and if you are interested in buying please email me at fredtoast@cs.com

Pull the mods off (particularly the supercharger) and sell them. They will add nothing to the value of the car.
With fairly high miles, I would try for $16k.

Thanks, I've read that that would be a better way to sell it, but that is not an option.

You have to find a buyer who really prefers a forced fed ITR for you to get a decent price out of it and this can take time.

No post whoring please.

I was thinking that asking around 16K would be fair until I saw the supercharger. This will not necessarily hurt the value if you can find someone that wants a bad-*** drag car that probably has been driven hard (the hard driving is something all used R owners have to forget about, or try too). However, it doesn't make it easier to sell. I looked for six months for a near-stock ITR but settled for a slightly moded 2000 with 30K on the clock. Don't be afraid to give several test drives because this is what will sell this thing. Chance are, you buyer has never driven anything as remotely fast as a supercharged Type R. Hopefully, they won't think about the 80,000 and you'll be $16-17,000 richer with only memories...
