Got a problem removing an axle... need suggestions.....

eh.... if you can't tell by the picture... the axle lock nut was pretty bashed in..... i couldn't get it out so i can loosen the nut... i did the left side just fine..... but this side, the shop that installed my clutch a while back bashed it in...... so.........
how do i get it out? my friend said dremel or grinder....... however i do not have any.... any OTHER way? i don't have an impact wrench either, but i highly doubt the impact wrench can turn the nut with that much of it still inside the groove/hole/whatever that part is called......
i need to get this b_tch out!!!! help please........
i had that problem on my prelude. I don' t know if your car is driveable, but i took mine up to the mineke and asked a guy just to losen the bolt (cuz my torque wrench couldn't get it!) It took him quite a bit of time to losen it even w/ his impact wrench!
anyways...i would look for smaller flatheads and work the head under the bent area. then move to larger flatheads...make sure u have a nice hammer...i got a really heavy head so if i just tap at the flathead...it actually hits it pretty hard...
i really don't think u need to pull out the dremel...but then again...ur pic is a little fuzzy
good luck!

The second pic is kind of blurry. If you can't get a wrench on it you will have to cut it off. A dremel costs like 40-50 bucks and they are well worth it. Pick one up you'll love it the first time you use it.
It looks like you can use a hammer and a screwdriver to make it so that the nut can come off, it won't be easy but it can be done. good luck. they do that so that the nut doesn't back out.

Troll,
Why are you even taking the axles out?! your are swaping in another B-series correct? If so, you just need to take the axles out of the tranny, but can leave them in the knuckles (just leave them hanging). This is just a waste of time and money if you're not replacing the axles (the ball joints are gonna bust). HTH, -C

also, I took my axles off this weekend and this is what I did to get it off. First (as you may have done) take that knotch they put in the bolt out (straighten it out so the nut can turn). Then I just used a 4-5" long breaker bar (had someone press the brakes) and put my whole weight to it and it poped loose. The air tools wouldn't get it for me, but that much leverage has some power! just dig out the crunched area with a pick or screwdriver, that metal should be brittle after being crushed in like that.
i cant' dig it out..... i tried...... just got a little worst.......
i tried taking the nut off w/o diggin it out....... put so much torque on it with my breaker bar i broke my 1/2" driver
i'm replacing the axles on the swap.... tha tis why i am removing the axles....
well i'm replacing the right one cuz it's had a broken cv boot for like 5-6 months now...... hehe.... anyway.. new reman axles around here are like 45 bucks...... no big deal....... i am using reman axles rite now anyway.......

when i replaced my axle the bolt wouldn't come loose either. this is wat i did, i first used a torch to heat up the bolt. then it came loose after using a breaker bar.
