Default The best way to rebuild a stock h22a back to oem specifications?

130k miles.....all stock internals....compression is 135 across all cylinders...lots of blowby and burning oil.......rebuilt w/total seal rings all new gaskets but cylinders were not honed......1600 miles later still lots of blowby....and burning lots of oil.......what should I do?

nothing you can do but tear it down again.

you always, repeat, always need to hone the cylinders when doing a rebuild.

also if you were rebuilding I would have used the 87.25 overbore honda rebuild pistons, bored and honed the block and you would be done.

At 130k miles just honing probably would not have done it either.

true, but not if you bore to 87.25mm it's only .25 of a mm FRM is .5mm as far as I know...Honda makes the 87.25 pistons you can order them through honda, so you can be sure that it has no impact on frm

13010-P13-A00 PISTON SET A (STD) $47.98 $11.25
13020-P13-A00 PISTON SET B (STD) $47.98 $11.25
13030-P13-A00 PISTON, SET (OS 0.25) $47.98 $11.25

what if I use a feeler gauge.....wont that tell me if I need to bore out the block and get those oversized pistons & rings......my mechanic showed me the pistons when they were out of the engine.....he pointed out how there was barely any scuff marks on the pistons
