I just installed a ITR clutch in my gsr and have a few questions. My pedal is a lot softer than it ever was and am wondering if this is normal. It is also a lot lower on the floor but not too low. Trans fluid was replaced with honda MTF.
Can anyone give me some feedback if they feel this is correct?

In the Helms, it tells you how to adjust the clutch pedal. Also, did you bleed the clutch line correctly?

Acura has a new design clutch master cylinder for 1994-2001 Integras due to many rear seal failures. The new part # is 06469-ST7-305. It will require a new clutch line "A". 1994-1997(exc. 97 Type-R) takes 06469-ST7-306, 1998-1999(including 97 Type-R) takes 06469-ST7-307, and 2000-2001(all) takes 06469-ST7-308. This info is from factory S/B #02-012. Hope this helps.

Let me clarify. I dont think i am having a problem just that it is alot smoother than my stock clutch was. when i say soft i mean so much easier to push but engagement seems ok (taking it easy for now to break in good) and after driving some more this afternoon, it seems as though the clutch height is probaly where it was or just slightly lower, it jsut seems lower because it is so much easier to push.
Also, yes it was bled and if it does seem to get worse i will look into the upgrade of the hydraulic system.
I really jsut wanted some feedback on how your guys stock clutch feels compared to say another integra you might have driven.
I do appreciate all your help though.

Normal Its softer due to the natural increase in effort of the original diaphram due to heat and time. Everytime you replace a cluch thats been in for a while with a like type clutch you will get the same sensation. Off course if you put in some stage 100(j/k) or what have you aftermarket unit well the effort will sky rocket. But short answer its a normal feeling you'll get use to it soon and not even notice it. And by the way nice choice in upgrade for a gsr with bolt-ons stock feel better holding power and pretty durable. I've smoked a few stock ITR's but after they have cooled off with continued easy driving it works great. Got 65k out of my stocker with some abuse and it was still in great shape but it was coming out for the Comptech FW so put in a fresh OEM.

ok, thanks for the input. The car is a lot smoother to drive now. I went with that because i really just use my car for going back and forth to school and i figure the upgrade will be nice if i ever want to use it. the clutch that was in it went for 125k i just turned so i hope this will last just as long even though i dont plan on keeping it that long.
