i made these lastnight when i was bored for my friends EK because he was blinding everyone.. basically all i did was cut a coke can til it was one flat piece of metal, i cut out a couple big squares and JB welded them to the metal base of the H4 bulb, then i carefully made sure the shield would only block light from the bottom reflector and not from the upper one so all the light would be projected onto the road, but still a little high on the right for road signs.. basically custom made coke can Caspers Shields..
no pics of the "DIY" but here are the results.
notice there is no light shining down onto the lower reflector so there is no upward unused light going into peoples eyes or rear view mirrors.
beam looks kinda scattered in the pic, but driving this car the light looks nice n even on the road.. and bright.. i think this is one of the best free mods you could do if you have HID on your civic without proper shielding.

I just got some HID's in my EK. All my friends hate driving infront of me. Takes some pic's during the day, so we can see what they look like. Thanks!

day pics... of HID? wtf? am i missing something here?
anywho.. at night, we backed up about 60 feet and even had eachother drive the car up the street to see how it would look from another drivers point of view.. there was no glare, and no more yellow shining.. the shield got rid of the yellow reflection.. in a way it kinda looks like a mini LS430 cuz of the OEM fogs.. the HID looks way more OEM from head on now..

I bought some aftermarket H4 glaresheilds from some place (sorry, forget where) and they work good.
One thing that makes them work even better, is if you paint the top of them black.
