Default Blinking CEL = Bad???

My cel light comes on when i drive(primary 02 sensor error, fuel pressure sensor error(cant get rid of it) are the usual 2 codes it displayed. I changed my thermostat last night due to my car overheating. This morning when i was going to work the CEL was on but then it started blinking halfway through the ride. What does it mean if it blinks(and not jumpered blinking)

anyone?

if it is an OBD 2 car, that is bad. when a cel flashes on an OBD 2 car, that is a catalyst harming code. usually the cat is melting down. have it checked immediately.

well heres my setup
97 civic dx block w/98 ex headi & intake mani, turbocharged

last night replaced thermostat & coolant due to engine temps climbing too high, since greddy only made one hole for an o2 sensor i only have the #2 o2 sensor hooked up, today on the way in, it was fine when i left my house but after a few miles it started to flash, i've never seen it do that before and it seemed like when i came to a stop my idle was dropping down to 200, i just did my timing on sunday though so im pretty sure its not that...

what does it mean when it blinks? could it be a problem with my transmission(my tranny fluid has not been changed in a long time, but i dunno if that could cause an error)

thanks in advance

ok you have no cat to harm, but in obd2 cars,if it flashes, it means that it is running bad enough to foul the cat. thats all. you may have another problem. but if it is flashing thats what it is supposed to mean.

Mine flashed when a plug wire was accidentally disconnected and the car was driven hard (not knowing hte wire was disconnected). It also had radically overlapped camgears and V-AFC tuning done, which combined together made my stock obd2 ecu just freak out.

Kenji-chipped p28 solved the whole thing. (well, reattaching the plug wire helped, too )

yea gamby, i cleared my ecu, and fixed the codes it was throwing except for 2

7 TP Sensor (Throttle Position) - defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

and 73 Cylinder #3 Misfire

and my CEL only seemed to start blinking when i got on it a little bit(65+) so maybe thats the ecu telling me that the TP sensor isnt working?

i thought it had been flashing a ECT sensor error but i was looking at the wrong line..hopefully it will all be fixed by this weekend or else i'll be unswapping my vtec head
