is there a place that ships cars?
i want to buy this car from washington, but its a bit old. i was thinking about flying there then driving it back, but im scared it'll break down on me. is there a place that ships cars...? price..number, etc?
Try Dependable Auto Shippers. They're who I used when I sold my Civic in '99. Price depends, but assuming you're speaking of Washington state, I would bet it will be anywhere from $650-$900. Here's their website...

Lots of good information and contact info for shippers in the corresponding section of the NSX FAQ, click here.

THis might sound goofy but don't they have an auto train on Amtrack? You could fly out and then take the auto train back home with the car? Not sure if they still have that or where it runs to and from but I do remeber seeing it somewhere.
I should've looked it up first, it only runs between washington DC and Orlando Florida it seems. Sorry. Plus it's like 760 bucks! YIKES!
wellz, i wanted to buy this 86 corolla gts aka treuno...hirakouchi!!! the car in initial d, hahahaha. but for 1200, its a steal cuz i see em for 2-3k for the crappy ls and deluxe models. 600-700 for shipping is half the cars worth, i think ill drive it and risk it breaking down.

You don't want a shipper! You want an auto transporter. Shippers are agencies that call transporters to get good deals from point to point and they make money by charging you a bit more than what they paid. Your car may end up going to many different locations and get unloaded / reloaded multiple times onto different trucks. Transporters have their own trucks and do their own moving. this way you directly deal with people who own the trucks your car is on eliminating the middle man. Transporters also cost a bit less sometimes.
I have used Tn'T in the past and I have been happy with them. they should be in the book.
